| Our first Newfy was born in 1983 – N CH Larissima’s Emorella. She was the founder bitch of our kennel. Our first litter was born in 1986 – and since then we have been breeding Newfies. Our goal is to breed functionally healthy dogs, with a construction and mentality typical to the breed that can live a long and happy life. We have bred close to 30 champions (link til Champions). We are proud of our champions and our family dogs. And most of all we are proud of Birkorella’s Yucon Yosefine – who won the title Brag Dog of the year 2002 (Norwegian Kennel Club, national radio “9-timen”) after saving a 6 year old child form drowning (click for story - PDF) We do our best to breed international dogs, combining the best of the old Scandinavian lines to the best of European and American lines. We have numerous litters born from frozen sperm, the first in 1988. All our dogs lives as family dogs; they own our house and our garden just as much as we do. All our puppies are raised in our house and garden; they are trained to be family dogs from very early life (click for photos). |
